Part 2: Remain committed to your schedule and never show up late again

It’s 7am in the morning. Do you know where your first meeting is? The Business Calendar app for Android is my favorite calendar tool. With this app, you can easily zoom into your calendar and view a portion of your week or month. When you are around the table with 10 other people trying to find a free day for a meeting, the Business Calendar application will show you, in one glance, which days are free in your schedule. Adding appointments and setting reminders can be accomplished with a few clicks on one screen.
You can easily turn on and turn off other calendars you have setup in Google Calendar. If it’s 3:30 on Wednesday afternoon, turn off your view of your favorite MLB team’s calendar or personal schedule. Don’t want to accidentally glance at your work calendar on the weekend, turn off the view and only see what you want to see.

Part 1: Managing priorities and tasks
Remember the Milk: If you are looking for a solution to sync your Outlook tasks with your Android device, Remember the Milk (RTM) is one of the best. With RTM, there are still features that are missing, but the syncing option will help you learn to appreciate this tool. Remember the Milk for Android does require a RTM pro account (about $25.00/year).
If you begin using Remember the Milk, try adding “time estimates” to your task. If you really want to know if you are biting off more than you can chew in a day, with your help, Remember the Milk can tell you how many hours your tasks will take to accomplish. Your tasks will take 12 hours to accomplish today? Try delegating!

Put yourself next to people who will push you
At the gym, it’s not uncommon to see two people on treadmills next to each other, pushing each other to go faster and farther and longer. And most of the time, they don’t even realize it.
If you are feeling like you are not moving forward, that you are stuck in cycles of procrastination or are lacking direction on what your next step should be, put yourself next to someone who will push you.
How?
- Call a friend or colleague that you trust and become accountability partners
- Build a personal Board of Directors
- Enlist the help of a professional advisor to help you set and reach goals that you may believe are too lofty today
- Join a networking group that will inspire you
Are you standing beside someone who will push you?

Who is your go-to person that will push you to achieve a goal today?
Who is your go-to person that will push you to achieve your long-term goals?
